GLETS London Limited is a is a private company set up with the aid of several registered social landlords.

The demand for social housing outstrips supply. Homeless People with low support needs are not classed as vulnerable and are therefore not prioritised. This means it is increasingly difficult for them to move from homelessness to the private rented sector and into long term homes.

The supported housing sector is the only option for some but vulnerable people face a number of barriers against securing this type of accommodation.

This is where GLETS steps in.

We work with private sector landlords, and bring them into the Private Sector Leasing Schemes of many Registered Social Landlords who want to use their properties to help give a person a step up in life, providing them with low risk and low maintenance way to achieve a consistent and financially viable income on their properties.

With these properties, we create opportunities for people to move from homelessness into quality and affordable homes without the requirement for the upfront deposit that is usually expected when renting privately.

We help start a new stage of a personal journey to full independence giving them a platform where they can build self-confidence, save money and establish a credible landlord reference for when they want to move on from their GLETS property.
